We are seeking a qualified and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Flex Valley Vista Rehab Clinic in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in helping patients recover mobility and enhance their functional capabilities. Your expertise will be essential in the promotion of health, prevention of injury, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation for patients with orthopedic conditions.

Our facility spans 5000 square feet and is designed to provide both a comfortable and efficient environment for physical therapy. Our dedicated team includes experienced professionals, complemented by advanced resources and a predominantly privately insured patient population, making us a leader in our field.

Work Environment

This position involves working onsite at our rehabilitation center, where you will collaborate closely with one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and two other Physical Therapists. Our team-centric approach emphasizes not only delivering the highest quality of care but also engaging in continuous learning and mutual support. The standard work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care in alignment with the prescriptions provided by referring physicians or authorized practitioners, ensuring all treatments adhere to best practices.
• Employ comprehensive evaluation techniques to assess patients efficiently and thoroughly, creating individualized treatment plans based on their unique needs.
• Design and implement tailored treatment programs aimed at achieving specific health and recovery goals, closely monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments.
• Document patient observations and any changes in status meticulously, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT to maintain accurate patient files.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams and participate in family meetings to discuss patient welfare, providing a collaborative approach to care management.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives by participating in chart reviews and other evaluation activities aimed at enhancing service delivery.
• Respond effectively to emergencies in accordance with established protocols to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Perform additional duties as required by departmental needs, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team objectives.

At Flex Valley Vista Rehab Clinic, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure you have the appropriate educational background for the role.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions against your license, is essential.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and a strong understanding of therapeutic exercise routines to enhance patient outcomes are crucial for success in this role.
• Experience and familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and management.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the highest standards of patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a rehabilitation setting, specifically focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation, is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
