Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or other conditions within their homes.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that leverage a variety of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and pain management strategies.
• Monitor and track patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure the achievement of therapeutic goals.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on proper usage of assistive devices, mobility aids, and exercises.
• Document all treatments, patient responses, and progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance skillset and stay updated on best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Two years of relevant experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, preferably in a home care setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients and families effectively.
• Proficient with electronic health records and basic computer applications.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home care settings or with similar patient populations.
• Exposure to advanced therapeutic techniques or special certifications in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Proven track record of developing and executing effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Previous experience mentoring or training new staff or students.

Compensation and Benefits
