You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to document and track client progress effectively. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and thorough documentation of client history from initial consultation until treatment completion.

• Assess and evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to formulate effective intervention plans.
\n
• Design and implement personalized treatment strategies for individuals, couples, families, and diverse groups, considering their unique circumstances and cultural backgrounds.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to foster a safe environment for shared discussion and personal growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress throughout treatment to adapt plans as necessary and ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate on treatment interventions with a team of mental health specialists, ensuring holistic care that encompasses all aspects of each client’s well-being.

• Communicate and coordinate follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Proactively identify barriers to recovery and work with clients to mitigate these challenges, fostering resilience and coping strategies.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health and behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will support range from children to adults, facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. An understanding and sensitivity to the diverse social, economic, and cultural factors that influence mental health is essential for success in this role. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating these complexities to provide tailored approaches that resonate with each client's unique situation.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven track record as a mental health counselor with hands-on experience in diverse therapeutic settings.
\n
• Proficiency in using electric health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
\n
• Familiarity with treatment methodologies for addiction disorders and comorbid physical and emotional health conditions.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices for therapy and client engagement.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by a potential sign-on bonus.
