Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting initial assessments by interviewing clients and collecting comprehensive information on their mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

• Developing targeted intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions that address clients' specific issues, providing guidance and therapeutic strategies to foster healing.
\n
• Leading group therapy sessions to encourage peer support and collective growth amongst clients facing similar challenges.
\n
• Monitoring client progress through ongoing evaluations and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Following up with clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and coordination with attending physicians.
\n
• Identifying barriers to recovery and implementing strategies to mitigate these challenges for your clients.

• Providing support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers involved in the treatment process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a telehealth mental health counselor, you will work with a diverse client population, including those facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. Your role will be integral to breaking down barriers to accessing care, particularly for individuals who may have difficulty visiting traditional clinics. By providing accessible virtual services, you enable your clients to receive the support they need, when they need it most.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Colorado.
\n
• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a proven track record of effective client outcomes.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ideally with experience using AVATAR.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal abilities that foster a supportive environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a telehealth setting.
\n
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their impacts, especially in relation to mental health treatment.
\n
• Previous training or certification in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
