Work Environment\n

This role is conducted remotely, utilizing telehealth technology to ensure accessible mental health services for our clients. You will connect with elderly patients from the comfort and safety of their own homes, allowing for a flexible work schedule and the opportunity to reach those who may face barriers to in-person therapy. Your usual hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as necessary to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Educate patients and their families comprehensively about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and community support resources available to them.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be serving older adults facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, cognitive impairments, and significant life transitions. Your work will directly contribute to improving their quality of life and assisting them in navigating the complexities associated with aging. This specialized focus mandates a deep understanding of the physiological, psychological, and social factors affecting this population.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure experience is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy specifically to older adults, demonstrating an understanding of their unique needs.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by an empathetic and patient-centered approach.

• Ability to build trust and rapport with elderly patients and their families, fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a comfort level with digital communication tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n
