Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to assess patients' trauma histories and pinpoint appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, individual strengths, and resilience-building, ensuring that each client feels valued and understood.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet the distinct needs of each patient.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients articulate their experiences, develop adaptive coping strategies, and foster healing and growth.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive treatment approach.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating calmness and professionalism in high-stress situations.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with valuable knowledge and resources.

• Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring that patient information remains protected.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused specifically on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to consistently enhance the therapeutic experience for our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At El Gloria Counseling Center, our primary focus is on supporting individuals who are navigating the complex journey of recovering from trauma. Our clients may present various conditions, including PTSD, dissociative disorders, and symptoms arising from complex trauma experiences. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping these individuals process their experiences, reclaim their narratives, and develop the necessary tools to thrive.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that convey empathy and support to clients.
\n
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging situations.
\n
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred. This experience should ideally include direct work with trauma survivors and a solid background in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
