Work Environment

This role is an onsite position, meaning you'll provide services directly in clients' homes throughout Morristown, NJ. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to deliver coordinated care. Your work environment will change day-to-day, reflecting the diverse needs of the clients you serve, and will often involve working in a range of residential settings that may vary from family homes to assisted living facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead physical therapy sessions, implementing treatment plans designed to minimize disability, alleviate pain, and improve clients' muscle functionality.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they adhere to the prescribed care plans as developed and monitored by you.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical conditions using various diagnostic techniques, assessing muscle, nerve, and joint performance.
• Assess the home environment for adaptations that support rehabilitation efforts and foster client independence.
• Administer manual therapies, traction, and other physical modalities to facilitate healing and functional recovery.
• Engineer individualized exercise programs while instructing and motivating clients in their execution both in and out of manual therapy.
• Evaluate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary, providing recommendations to enhance functional movement.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings to collaboratively review treatment plans and adapt strategies tailored to client progress.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and treatment summaries, to ensure continuity of care.
• Engage clients and their families in discussions regarding treatment objectives, equipment use, and ongoing therapeutic approaches.
• Complete timely submissions of clinical and payroll documentation as per organizational policies.
• Stay accessible to physical therapy assistants during client engagements, offering guidance and support as needed.
• Contribute positively to achieving company objectives through teamwork and adherence to best practices in home health physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population consists of individuals ranging from post-operative patients to those with chronic disabilities requiring regular therapy. We prioritize our work with elderly clients and individuals with complex medical histories. Understanding the impact of each client's condition on their daily life is crucial, and you will play a key role in empowering them to regain independence through tailored interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with experience in home health preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, reflecting the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care or outpatient therapy settings.
• Knowledge of geriatric, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to enhance documentation efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
