Details Float pool position covering 8 Med/Surg Tele units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow Care for ED boarder patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/eves and up to 6:1 on nights Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital Evening shift 11:00-23:30 with every other weekend required Days/Eves rotation with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract Uses Epic EMR 36 or 48 hour scheduling options available Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted) AHA BLS certification required AHA ACLS certification required 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse required Telemetry monitoring skills including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours Experience with TR Band required Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips Must be willing to float between 8 different Med/Surg Tele units as needed Free on-site parking available Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility in Boston American Traveler Job ID P-750210.
