Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial assessments and ongoing sessions to diagnose and document clients’ psychological and emotional needs.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that address the specific mental health challenges faced by individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic approaches to engage clients and promote their recovery.

• Monitor client progress consistently throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and additional healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

• Provide ongoing support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them navigate the challenges associated with their loved ones' mental health issues.

• Ensure thorough documentation of all interactions using our electronic health record (EHR) system, specifically AVATAR, maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Assist clients in managing crises and implementing preventative strategies that enhance recovery and promote emotional stability.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center serves a diverse population, addressing the mental health needs of individuals across various demographics and backgrounds. Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults facing complex emotional and behavioral issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will play an essential role in supporting these clients through their unique struggles, guided by a holistic understanding of their needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficient with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to document client interactions effectively.
\n
• In-depth understanding of additional underlying health conditions, mental health disorders, and addiction issues relevant to the client population served.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior professional experience in a counseling role within a similar setting, demonstrating the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective interactions with clients and interdisciplinary teams.

• Strong interpersonal skills that foster a trusting and therapeutic relationship with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, with the additional incentive of a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
