Work Environment\n

Key Responsibilities\n

• Counsel and provide crisis intervention for patients, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools to evaluate and treat emotional and behavioral issues.

• Maintain proactive communication with primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress, address concerns, and collaborate on comprehensive care plans.

• Document patient interactions accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with departmental policies through precise clinical and progress notes.
\n
• Engage in the development of detailed treatment plans and discharge strategies in conjunction with the healthcare team, integrating psychosocial assessments and accepted interventions.

• Build strong working relationships within the community by participating in local healthcare initiatives and representing Bedford Healthcare Center in relevant meetings and committees.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing a diverse range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other emotional disturbances. Our holistic approach emphasizes individualized care and understanding each patient's unique context, ensuring tailored intervention strategies that align with their personal recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Candidates must possess one of the following independent licenses: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience is mandatory for consideration.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, applicants with experience in outpatient mental healthcare settings or those familiar with integrated behavioral health practices will be prioritized. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
