Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and diagnostic assessments during initial client consultations.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on clinical observations and client needs, ensuring they are measurable and outcome-focused.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open communication and therapeutic exploration.

• Monitor clients' progress systematically through follow-up appointments, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.

• Provide client referrals to additional services when necessary, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.

• Educate and involve family members and caregivers in the treatment process to improve client outcomes.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health best practices to provide clients with up-to-date care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support a wide range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will focus on building strong therapeutic alliances that help empower clients to overcome their struggles and promote lasting mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.

• A pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain detailed clinical documentation and treatment records.
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of experience as a mental health counselor, with a proven track record of effective treatment outcomes.

• Familiarity with addiction disorders and interventions, as well as working knowledge of co-occurring physical health conditions.

• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, in documenting client interactions and treatment plans.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of the practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field.
