Your expertise will be instrumental in two self-contained classrooms: one serving students with autism in kindergarten through second grade, and the other focused on pre-kindergarten special education. Each classroom includes the support of a paraprofessional, ensuring a collaborative and nurturing atmosphere. Candidates who hold (or are eligible for) a Special Education license—including those with emergency or pending certifications, or participants in alternative education programs—are encouraged to apply. Travel professionals are welcome, and commitment to onsite teaching is required.

Ideal candidates will have experience in:

• Special education at the elementary or early childhood level
• Autism spectrum disorder classroom environments (preferred, not required)
• Creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and support staff
• Utilizing positive behavioral interventions and support strategies

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering individualized instruction within a self-contained classroom
• Monitoring student progress, adapting tactics as needed
• Implementing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Providing guidance to paraprofessional staff
