Two contract positions are open for dedicated professionals to work with elementary and pre-K students in a supportive environment equipped with para support. Both roles involve working in self-contained classrooms, serving either K–2nd grade students with autism or pre-K children with special needs. Flexible start is available and contracts run through May 2027, providing the chance to build strong relationships with students and colleagues over multiple school years.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license (or eligibility, including pending certification, emergency credentials, Teachers of America program, or ITeach program participants)
• Comfort working in self-contained classrooms with paraeducator support
• Openness to candidates with pending licensure and those seeking licensure through alternative pathways
• Experience supporting students with autism (for K–2nd position) or working with pre-K special education populations is highly valued
• Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, support staff, and fellow educators to meet diverse student needs
• Foster an inclusive, structured, and engaging classroom community
• Maintain accurate, timely records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
• Communicate proactively with families and stakeholders about student progress
