We're seeking two passionate Special Education Teachers to support elementary and PreK students in self-contained classrooms, each benefitting from para support. This contract role is ideal for educators who thrive in onsite, collaborative school settings and are committed to empowering young learners every day.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License; will also consider candidates with emergency or pending certifications and those enrolled in Teachers of America or ITeach programs
- Background or experience working with K-2nd Elementary Autism and PreK Special Education preferred
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
- Comfort working with para support and collaborating with other educational professionals
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Your Everyday Impact:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with individualized education programs in a self-contained classroom
- Develop lesson plans that address varied learning styles and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with paraeducators, therapists, and school staff to implement best practices
- Engage with families, supporting them as partners in student growth
- Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster positive, supportive classroom communities where students feel safe and motivated
