Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation center in the beautiful Charlottesville area. You will work within a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, personal trainers, and medical doctors, to cultivate a supportive and dynamic work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, analyzing their mobility, strength, and overall function to develop targeted treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions for various patient populations, including orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, pediatric cases, and sports-related ailments.
• Provide personalized hands-on treatment using evidence-based methods to facilitate optimal recovery and restore patients' functional capabilities.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, self-management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their rehabilitation outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient progress in compliance with healthcare regulations to ensure continuity of care and quality improvement.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to share insights, discuss patient needs, and implement a cohesive approach to rehabilitation.
• Achieve or exceed minimum utilization goals and contribute to the overall business objectives through exemplary patient care and interaction.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in physical therapy.
• Current CPR certification and updated knowledge of first aid protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record systems and basic computer programs.
• Ability to build rapport with patients, demonstrating empathy and motivation to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in specialized areas of physical therapy such as sports medicine, pediatrics, or neurological rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and treatment modalities.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or wellness programs.

Compensation and Benefits
