Precision Industrial Millwright & Metrology Technician

Join HardHat in a long-term role supporting high-stakes work in Cape Canaveral, Florida . As a precision-focused millwright, you’ll blend hands-on machining with advanced metrology to keep complex assemblies aligned, accurate, and on schedule.

You’ll start by reviewing model-based blueprints, applying your in-depth GD&T knowledge to plan the day’s setups. You’ll capture geometric data with a laser tracker using tools like Verisurf, then move to the floor to set up and run CNC and manual machines. Throughout the shift, you’ll integrate process monitoring, locate welding and machining details, and collaborate across teams to uphold our safety culture and procedures.

• Based in Cape Canaveral, FL
• Pay up to $34–$41/hour
• Per diem available if you are not local to the jobsite
• Long-term assignment

• Complete machining operations from drawings, blueprints, and verbal/written instructions
• Set up, operate, and prove out programs on CNC lathes, plus run manual mills/lathes and related equipment
• Program and machine high-precision, quick-turn, and recurring production work with consistent attention to detail
• Enforce client procedures, processes, and safety culture while partnering across multiple teams

• Deep familiarity with GD&T to interpret blueprints at every assembly level
• Experience collecting geometric data via laser tracker with model-based software (e.g., Verisurf)
• Ability to integrate process monitoring to accurately locate welding and machining details
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
