26-145 Cafeteria Cook/Manager - Secondary

Job Title: Cafeteria – Cook/Manager: Secondary Location: Middle School, Hopkinton, Massachusetts Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) Salary: $25.80 to $29.03 per hour (actual pay per collective bargaining agreement) Starting Date: August 17, 2026 Responsibilities Coordinate the daily operation of the cafeteria, including planning, directing, supervising, and participating in the preparation and serving of all food. Manage food service staff, producing and maintaining daily work schedules for all cafeteria employees. Ensure food production and service follows predetermined lunch menus. Handle weekly ordering, receiving, inventorying, and security of all food and supplies; supervise storage and care of all items. Track and submit vendor invoices. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High‑school graduate or GED preferred. ServSafe certification (assistance available to selected candidate, if needed). Ability to read basic operating and use instructions. Ability to give clear, concise instructions and ensure they are carried out. Thorough knowledge of food service and sanitation practices. Eligibility to meet citizenship, residency, or work‑visa requirements.
