Agile Life Physical Therapy is seeking compassionate and skilled Physical Therapists to join our dedicated team in Newark, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position will be carried out primarily in the homes of our patients, allowing for personalized therapy in a comfortable and familiar setting. Operating on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, our therapists enjoy flexibility in their work hours and can collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care delivery. We prioritize transparency within our team and support the use of clinical judgment to design effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities, developing tailored treatment plans that consider their specific goals and preferences.
• Deliver a wide range of therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and appropriate modalities to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting changes regularly and modifying treatment approaches as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which may include physicians, occupational, and speech therapists, fostering a cooperative atmosphere to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs, as well as strategies to prevent further injuries.
• Implement safety and fall prevention programs in patient environments, particularly in assisted living settings, to promote safety and independence.
• Stay abreast of new advancements in physical therapy practices to continually enhance therapeutic techniques and improve patient outcomes.
• Uphold strict professional and ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering the highest quality of care at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be our geriatric clientele, where the emotional and psychological aspects of aging are as vital as physical rehabilitation. You will engage with elderly patients who may be managing chronic conditions, recovering from surgery, or experiencing mobility challenges. Your ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with this unique demographic is crucial to fostering trust and ensuring success in their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; additional qualifications such as a Doctorate or Master's degree are welcomed.
• An active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, families, and healthcare teammates.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and documentation protocols to accurately capture patient information and progress.
• A deep understanding of evidence-based practices and a commitment to utilizing the latest therapeutic approaches to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
