Key Responsibilities\n

• Lead and facilitate parent support groups that provide safe, therapeutic spaces for discussions around mental health and parenting strategies.

• Deliver evidence-based training to parents of children with mental health needs, particularly focusing on complex issues such as prenatal substance exposure and its effects on child development.

• Conduct regular developmental evaluations of children to assess their psychological and emotional well-being and create tailored service plans.

• Offer specialized temperament counseling to parents, equipping them with techniques to foster positive parent-child relationships.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services rendered in compliance with organizational policies and governmental regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets families and children within the educational context, focusing on those facing challenges related to mental health conditions, developmental disorders, and parenting difficulties. You will work closely with children showing signs of behavioral or emotional distress and their families, guiding them through tailored interventions that promote resilience and healthy coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate program is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with at least one year in a mental health environment is essential.

• An active and unrestricted Clinical Social Work License (LCSW) is mandatory.

• Proven background in parent-child interventions and techniques for managing complex family dynamics.

• Solid knowledge of child development stages, parenting challenges, and issues surrounding child abuse and neglect.

• Experience in case management, social service provision, or direct counseling work.

Compensation and Benefits\n
