Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental health history and concerns to inform treatment strategies.

• Evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of individuals to develop customized intervention plans for diverse client needs.
\n
• Create, implement, and monitor evidence-based treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques tailored to client needs.
\n
• Regularly assess client progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
\n
• Engage in collaborative efforts with other mental health professionals, physicians, and healthcare providers to coordinate client care.

• Maintain ongoing communication with psychiatrists and medical teams regarding clients who may require hospitalization.
\n
• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, developing strategies to support clients effectively.

• Support families and caregivers by providing resources and strategies to manage mental health challenges collaboratively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a patient-centered approach in working with adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. You will tailor therapy to meet the unique needs and cultural backgrounds of your clients, fostering an inclusive and respectful therapeutic space that invites open communication and trust.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor or therapist with a strong understanding of therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to streamline client documentation and care processes.

• Experience addressing concurrent physical health and emotional issues, as well as substance use disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) concerning best practices in mental health care.

• In-depth understanding of medications related to client care and how they interact with mental health conditions.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner.
\n
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills that reflect empathy, active listening, and a nonjudgmental approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, with a sign-on bonus available to qualified candidates.
