Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative, onsite environment with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. The clinic operates within a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Our outpatient setting encourages a close relationship with patients, allowing for focused, individualized treatment plans and direct involvement in their healing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, delivering high levels of care and attention.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating various therapeutic techniques.
• Utilize your expertise to offer cost-effective solutions that enhance patients' motion and mobility.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications to minimize medication use and provide alternatives to surgical interventions.
• Document all patient care services precisely, including plans of care and progress notes, utilizing EMR software like WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Encourage patient motivation, focusing on improved strength, flexibility, balance, and overall coordination.
• Evaluate progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly, maintaining clear communication with clients throughout.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our orthopedic outpatient clinic, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, athletic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your treatments will address a wide range of orthopedic issues, making it essential to tailor approaches to each patient's unique needs and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, with a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree preferred.
• Active Florida Physical Therapist License, with no board actions or disciplinary history.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) number (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise-based rehabilitation.
• Strong critical thinking skills to develop innovative treatment solutions.
• Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy settings is highly desirable.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
