Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our bustling outpatient office located in scenic Saint Petersburg, Florida. The facility offers a collaborative atmosphere where Physical Therapists work closely with assistants, administrative staff, and other health professionals. The office is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment, providing the tools necessary for effective treatment. The role typically involves a Monday to Friday schedule, with some rotating weekend shifts for hospital coverage, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, using this information to develop customized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions as prescribed by physicians, regularly updating treatment goals based on patient progress.
• Document patient care activities meticulously, including evaluations, treatment sessions, discharge summaries, and compliance with professional standards, while ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists (OTs), speech-language pathologists (SLPs), and nursing staff to create a cohesive treatment approach, discussing patient progress and strategizing intervention plans.
• Oversee and guide support personnel, including Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and interns, ensuring they provide quality patient care while ensuring compliance with established standards.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate them about the rehabilitation process, techniques, and home exercises to foster continued recovery outside of the clinical setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work primarily with a diverse patient population suffering from various conditions that affect their mobility and physical function, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain, neurological disorders, and age-related physical decline. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
