Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support and guidance to patients experiencing mental health emergencies, demonstrating a calm and effective response under pressure.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines, using electronic health record systems proficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients include individuals facing complex mental health challenges exacerbated by co-existing medical conditions. Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will involve working closely with patients who may struggle with conditions ranging from chronic pain and autoimmune disorders to substance abuse. Your ability to integrate treatment strategies that consider both mental and physical health will be crucial in helping our patients achieve sustained improvement.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or LMFT in New York State.

• Demonstrated experience in addressing mental health issues for individuals with co-occurring medical conditions and understanding their unique treatment needs.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.

• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and a strong adherence to ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health records and other relevant computer applications.
