Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that consider any relevant medical conditions impacting mental wellbeing.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review integrated treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique psychiatric and medical needs.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective responses.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population experiencing various mental health issues, often complicated by co-existing medical conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals managing chronic illnesses, substance use disorders, and those coping with significant life transitions. Your role will be instrumental in navigating these complexities to foster a supportive environment that promotes healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• Demonstrated understanding and experience in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective engagement with patients and multidisciplinary team members.

• Proficient with electronic health record systems and the use of various computer applications in clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly in an integrated care model.

• Expertise in evidence-based therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Experience with crisis intervention strategies and managing urgent mental health situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
