Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, your daily activities will include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to identify students' mental health needs and developing tailored treatment plans that comply with current best practices and evidence-based methodologies.

• Implementing a range of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques, customizing your approach to align with the individual goals and challenges of each student.

• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that all records reflect the highest standards of confidentiality and care.

• Fostering collaborative relationships by engaging with teachers, parents, and other mental health professionals to create a cohesive support network for each child.

• Participating in ongoing case consultations and peer review sessions to foster professional development and enhance the collective knowledge of our care team.

• Providing educational resources and workshops for students and their families, promoting awareness and understanding of mental health issues and available community resources.

• Keeping abreast of current trends in mental health research and integrating new information into your practice to continually improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on school-aged children and adolescents who may be experiencing a range of emotional and behavioral challenges. You will be instrumental in providing early intervention and ongoing support to help them navigate their academic and personal lives, ultimately supporting their emotional and social development.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid LICSW license to practice in Washington State.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience, specifically providing psychotherapy services in a clinical or school setting.

• Proficient knowledge of solution-focused therapy techniques, demonstrating an ability to foster meaningful change in clients' lives.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Ability to approach complex situations with sound judgement, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• A commitment to ethical practice, as established by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Preferred Experience\n

Ideally, you will have experience working specifically within educational settings or as part of a school mental health team. Knowledge of relevant youth mental health frameworks and familiarity with community resources in Pullman, Washington, will be beneficial.
