Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through telehealth platforms, documenting all findings from initial assessments to discharge summaries.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's unique needs and goals, integrating input from multidisciplinary team members.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation, and life skills development.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, utilizing evidence-based assessments to adjust therapeutic approaches as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care doctors, nurses, and social workers to create coherent and effective intervention strategies.

• Identify and address barriers to recovery, implementing preventive measures to ensure sustained mental health progress.
\n
• Provide guidance and support for family members and caregivers navigating the complexities of mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served by Joy of Hope Behavioral Health Center encompass a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, substance abuse issues, and relationship challenges. You will be instrumental in helping clients from diverse backgrounds navigate their mental health journeys with compassion, empowering them to foster resilience and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications\n

• Master's (or Doctoral) degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in telehealth settings.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly experience with AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Knowledge and experience addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects as prescribed by medical professionals.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with a nurturing and empathetic interpersonal style.
