Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced therapeutic equipment and technologies tailored to patient needs. The physical therapy team works collaboratively in a supportive environment, allowing for peer interaction and mentorship. Your work will primarily take place onsite, enabling you to engage directly with patients and coordinate with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions through comprehensive evaluations of physical function, mobility, and injury impacts.
• Develop, implement, and adapt personalized treatment plans based on physician prescriptions and ongoing assessment of patient progress.
• Record and maintain detailed documentation of patient care, including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, adhering to professional standards.
• Instruct and support Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and rehabilitation support personnel to ensure cohesive delivery of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, treatment objectives, and rehabilitation goals to enhance their understanding and engagement in the recovery process.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to devise comprehensive approaches for patient management and participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
• Provide constructive feedback to the Director to improve departmental practices and maintain productivity standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes a wide range of individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain conditions, and neurological disorders. Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) for documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting, demonstrating competence in assessing and treating complex patient conditions.
• Experience in working collaboratively within a healthcare team and leading support staff or therapy assistants.
• Previous exposure to outpatient rehabilitation and knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
