Account Executive, Higher Education

It empowers individuals to conquer their fear of public speaking and enhance communication skills through immersive virtual reality experiences. The fusion of virtual reality and AI-powered avatars represents a groundbreaking advancement. Think of Ovation as a flight simulator — but for your voice! Ovation seeks a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join their team, focusing on the Higher Education sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in higher education sales, with a keen interest in AI and startup environments. Ovation, founded in 2016, is a high-growth company that offers a comprehensive benefits package. Major Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets within the higher education sector Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and cold calling Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in higher education institutions Utilize Salesforce to manage sales activities, track progress, and generate sales reports Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client needs are met and to drive customer satisfaction Stay informed about industry trends, AI advancements, and the competitive landscape to strategically position Ovation’s offerings Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and generate leads Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients Preferred Qualifications Several years of sales experience in the higher education sector Proven track record in new business development and achieving sales targets Strong interest in AI technologies and their applications within education Experience working in a startup environment is highly desirable Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Remote role with very limited travel required Ovation empowers individuals to conquer their fear of public speaking and enhance communication skills through immersive virtual reality experiences. Users engage with realistic AI avatars in various simulated scenarios—ranging from presentations and job interviews to casual conversations—and receive AI-generated feedback on their performance. This innovative fusion of VR and AI allows for repeated practice in a controlled environment, effectively reprogramming fears and refining speaking abilities.
