This position allows you to work remotely while maintaining a strong connection to our outpatient office team. Utilizing modern telehealth technologies, you'll conduct counseling sessions, facilitate therapy groups, and engage in collaborative case management with colleagues. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including initial consultations, to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to support client growth and recovery.
\n
• Document and track client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary based on therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to ensure comprehensive client care.
\n
• Manage client referrals and coordinate care for clients transitioning in and out of various service levels, including hospitalizations.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, available resources, and strategies for coping and resilience.
\n
• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery to support optimal therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a varied client base struggling with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will work with individuals, couples, families, and groups, emphasizing skill-building and empowerment to foster long-lasting positive changes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for documentation and case management.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professional, compassionate client relationships while managing clinical responsibilities effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing mental health counseling or therapy in an outpatient setting.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical standards.
\n
• Understanding of the interplay between physical health conditions and mental health, particularly as it pertains to addiction and recovery.

• Strong interpersonal skills, exemplifying empathy and active listening while communicating effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
