Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs of children and adolescents.

• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances, integrating family dynamics and developmental stages.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or play therapy, to address a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing environment conducive to their child’s mental health.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and timely support during mental health emergencies, utilizing effective de-escalation techniques.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to bolster support systems.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and stay updated with the latest research in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on children and adolescents, ranging from early childhood through young adulthood. You will work with individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, ensuring that each patient receives compassionate, personalized care. Our practice heavily emphasizes family involvement and education, recognizing that mental health is a collective journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy targeted to young patients and their specific needs.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic, child-centered approach to therapy.

• Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a base salary, employees are eligible for bonuses based on performance metrics. We also provide a generous sign-on bonus to welcome new team members.
