This full-time position will primarily focus on providing mental health therapy to children and adolescents in a remote outpatient setting. Work Environment\n

The position allows for flexible remote work within an outpatient office framework. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that respect the developmental stages of clients and involve family dynamics in the healing process.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions effectively, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to tackle mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to create a supportive home environment.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists to ensure a well-rounded approach to care, integrating medication management with therapeutic practices when necessary.

• Provide crisis intervention support during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of young clients.

• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and resources available within the community.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, providing insights during case consultations and engaging in professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets children and adolescents grappling with a spectrum of mental health difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. The therapist will play an essential role in not just treating these young patients but also supporting their families through education and therapeutic techniques to foster a healthier environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Thorough understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues, alongside familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver individual and family therapy to diverse young populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
