This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and identify tailored treatment methodologies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on resilience-building and trauma recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients through their healing process.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process their experiences, cultivate coping strategies, and build a foundation for long-term recovery.

• Engage in crisis intervention and provide immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and connect them to available resources.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation that meets state and federal legal standards, ensuring ethical practice in all interactions.

• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients who have experienced significant trauma or are grappling with its aftermath. This includes individuals with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. By offering tailored therapeutic interventions, you will be instrumental in guiding these individuals towards healing and resilience, addressing their unique needs and challenges with care and professionalism.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a focus on trauma and mental health treatment.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to leverage technology in therapeutic settings.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
