Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, effectively documenting cases from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being of clients to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Develop customized treatment and recovery plans for various demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and specific groups, tailoring strategies to meet unique needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment for self-exploration and healing.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, adjusting interventions as necessary to maximize effectiveness and patient outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including mental health specialists, medical practitioners, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
\n
• Stay in contact with psychiatrists and physicians for clients needing hospitalization, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity in care.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that might obstruct recovery, proactively addressing potential obstacles as they arise.

• Guide and support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Registered LCSW (LCSW-R) in New York.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a solid understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage patient data efficiently and effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients facing various physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and understanding the implications of psychotropic medications.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on conveying information clearly and compassionately.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport among clients and colleagues.

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 , along with a signing bonus for suitable candidates.
