Security Officer Unarmed Driving Role – Houston, TX As a Security Officer Unarmed Driving Role in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM Tue: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM Sat: 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM Sun: 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by following site‑specific procedures and supporting security‑related protocols for a utilities location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and documenting relevant details. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify potential concerns and support security‑related awareness. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations through established reporting channels. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Valid Driver's License - In Job State (C124). A TSA‑issued TWIC is required. A guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
