This full-time position allows you to provide critical therapeutic support to children and families, while working from the comfort of your own home. This role is entirely remote, utilizing a telehealth model, which allows for flexible scheduling to accommodate both client and therapist needs. Key Responsibilities\n

Your contributions will directly impact the lives of young clients and their families. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting individual and family therapy sessions via telehealth, tailored to client-specific needs.

• Assessing behavior, providing therapeutic interventions, and developing personalized treatment plans that align with each child's goals.

• Offering techniques in anger management, coping strategies, and social skills training to children aged 3-20.
\n
• Working collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team to ensure a cohesive approach to care, including regular communication and coordination with other professionals.

• Submitting timely documentation for all therapy sessions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Participating in monthly team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and contribute to program development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, alongside their families. Many clients may exhibit high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or aggression, demanding not only therapeutic expertise but also great empathy and dedication. Qualifications\n

To ensure our clients receive the highest standard of care, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in California.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with potential flexibility on weekends.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for any required client visits or meetings.
\n
• A clean criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the ideal candidate will have:

• Experience providing positive behavior support and interventions for children with special needs.

• Hands-on experience working directly with children and adolescents aged 3-20, particularly those facing developmental and intellectual challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n
