Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of children and teens in the comfort of their homes or through virtual means.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a variety of behavioral challenges, such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills training.
\n
• Work closely with caregivers to enhance decision-making abilities and strategies to manage in-home behavioral difficulties effectively.

• Engage in consistent collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team, ensuring a team-based approach to supporting youth and their families.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established timelines.
\n
• Participate actively in monthly team meetings to share insights, track progress, and contribute to program development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and teens aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your role will involve employing patience and specialized approaches to support a diverse caseload, addressing both their mental health needs and their families’ challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for shifting hours, including a minimum of 5-10 hours during after-school times (4-7 PM), with additional flexibility for weekend appointments.
\n
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle is necessary for in-home client visits.
\n
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Three or more years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

• Demonstrated skill in providing positive behavior support and working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
\n
• Experience with bilingual therapy (Spanish or Portuguese) is highly desirable and will be an asset to the community we serve.

Compensation and Benefits\n
