This full-time position focuses on providing comprehensive mental health care within a multicultural outpatient psychiatry office located in Wolford, Virginia. Work Environment

This role offers a fully remote work setting, allowing for flexibility and comfort while maintaining a high standard of care. The work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to adjust for patient scheduling needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments, taking into account patients' individual experiences, which will inform tailored treatment plans.
• Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the psychological and emotional needs of each patient.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address various mental health issues, with an emphasis on resilience and positive coping strategies.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to mental health care.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring patients feel safe and secure.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Engage actively in case conferences and training sessions to develop cultural competency and keep up-to-date with best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals from diverse and often marginalized backgrounds, including ethnic and cultural minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and various immigrant populations. Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based approaches suitable for a culturally diverse clientele.
• Proficient in delivering individual and group therapy, with particular emphasis on culturally responsive methods.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, with a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful rapport with diverse individuals.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications.
• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a community health setting, particularly with underserved populations.
• Familiarity with cultural competency training and application of culturally informed care in therapeutic settings.
• Experience leading group therapy sessions or community workshops focused on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000.
