The work setting for this position is entirely remote, enabling you to engage with patients from the comfort of your own space while maintaining a work-life balance. Although the role is primarily virtual, you will be part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals. The role involves scheduled sessions throughout the week, with some degree of flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Regular team meetings and case consultations will ensure that you remain integrated within our supportive community, even from a distance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, focusing on trauma histories and current psychological functioning to develop personalized treatment strategies.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery using evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing innovative therapeutic techniques to help patients process their experiences, learn coping mechanisms, and promote healing.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other clinical staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention for patients coping with acute trauma-related situations, ensuring immediate support and resources are available.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources, promoting a better understanding of the mental health landscape.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, adhering to legal and ethical documentation standards.

• Contribute to professional development activities focusing on trauma-informed care, staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals grappling with the physical and emotional fallout of traumatic experiences. Our clientele includes adults and adolescents affected by PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. The successful therapist will embrace a holistic and individualized approach to treatment, skillfully tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• 2+ years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling preferred, with a clear focus on trauma-informed care.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed therapeutic modalities.

• Strong interpersonal skills, employing a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach with clients.

• Ability to remain composed in high-pressure environments, demonstrating effective crisis management and intervention skills.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a commitment to maintaining data integrity.

• Exceptional ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
