Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to discern patients' trauma histories and psychological needs, establishing a clear understanding of their challenges.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience enhancement, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients in their healing processes.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma, learn coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of the patient's mental health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, helping to stabilize their emotional state and connect them with appropriate resources.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available therapeutic resources, fostering a deeper understanding of the recovery process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, contributing to overall quality assurance and legal compliance.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities, focusing on trauma-informed care to continuously enhance your clinical skills.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, using this knowledge to inform your therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele you will work with are individuals who have experienced one or multiple traumatic events. This may include veterans, abuse survivors, individuals facing complex PTSD, and those with dissociative disorders. Understanding their unique narratives and providing tailored interventions is crucial in helping them rebuild their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a clinical setting, preferably with trauma-informed care.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor, crucial for working with sensitive populations.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
