Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Registered Nurse – Neonatal ICU

License: Valid compact or state RN license

Certifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; preferred experience in Level III or IV NICU

EMR: Experience with Epic

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates, including those with respiratory distress and glucose management needs.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and lab results for neonatal patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV vasopressors and surfactants.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients and families.
• Maintain infection control measures and adhere to isolation precautions as necessary.
• Utilize effective communication techniques, including SBAR, to facilitate teamwork and patient handoffs.

Compliance / Notes

Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine NOT required.

References: 2 professional references required (1 manager/director or formal leader; charge RN acceptable as 2nd).

Credentialing: Strict compliance with credentialing and fingerprinting requirements.

RTO: Required with submission; locals accepted at the same rate.
