Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the severity of mood disorder symptoms, including their frequency, duration, and overall impact on functioning.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective treatment interventions.

• Engage in ongoing education with clients and families about mood disorders, evidence-based treatment options, and self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide appropriate feedback and support during therapy sessions.

• Facilitate collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay current with the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain thorough documentation of client sessions and treatment outcomes while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, professional development programs, and team meetings to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs while working to reduce stigma related to mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support clients grappling with mood disorders, including—but not limited to—depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, and communities such as those affected by homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. The therapist plays a critical role in empowering clients to overcome their challenges and improve their overall mental health and wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Massachusetts.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Exhibit empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards the diverse experiences and struggles of clients.

• Ability to manage workload effectively through strong organizational and time-management skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
