Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, focusing on the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that plans are tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment paths.

• Educate and support clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices to promote long-term well-being.

• Monitor client progress by tracking improvements and challenges, regularly updating treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other professionals involved in integrated care to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

• Stay current with research and best practices related to mood disorders to refine and enhance therapeutic techniques.

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals who are managing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your role will also extend to serve vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, ensuring they receive the help needed to overcome their unique challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is mandatory.
