Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial interviews to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings from the first consultation through to treatment completion.

• Develop customized recovery and intervention plans that cater to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, in accordance with best practice standards.
\n
• Facilitate therapy sessions that encourage personal insight and healing; employing a range of therapeutic modalities to meet varying client needs.
\n
• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as needed, ensuring accountability and responsiveness to clients' evolving situations.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate care and manage referrals.
\n
• Follow up on clients admitted to the hospital, ensuring continuity of care and supporting their reintegration into outpatient services.
\n
• Help clients and their families identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing education and support consistently.

Our clientele encompasses a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, with varied mental health challenges from anxiety and depression to more complex conditions requiring integrated treatment approaches. You will work extensively with clients seeking assistance in improving their psychological functioning and lead efforts to foster resilience and coping strategies among individuals and their support networks.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Evidence of competence as demonstrated by passing scores on required licensure examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent interpersonal skills paired with a compassionate nature conducive to building trusting relationships with clients and families.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, necessary for documentation and client interaction.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a counseling role is preferred, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms, to manage patient information effectively.

• Experience working with clients dealing with physical health conditions or addiction disorders adds significant value.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and contemporary psychotherapy trends.
