Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting initial assessments and documenting comprehensive case histories from the first interaction through the course of treatment.
\n
• Evaluating and diagnosing clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges through interviews and standardized assessments.
\n
• Designing individualized treatment plans that address each client’s unique needs, including interventions targeted for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating individual counseling sessions, as well as group therapy workshops, focusing on coping strategies and behavioral techniques.
\n
• Monitoring client progress throughout the treatment journey, adapting strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Maintaining communication and providing updates to psychiatrists and medical doctors regarding any hospital-admitted clients.
\n
• Identifying potential obstacles to recovery and implementing preventive measures to navigate challenges effectively.
\n
• Providing guidance and support to clients’ family members and caregivers, helping them manage mental health difficulties.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundational experience as a mental health counselor focused on therapeutic interventions and client-based outcomes.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to document and manage patient information effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing services to clients with co-occurring disorders, particularly those facing both mental health and substance use challenges.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices to enhance the quality of care provided.
