Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Intelicare Counseling, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse caseload of clients, establishing rapport and fostering positive therapeutic relationships while upholding the highest professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conducting regular sessions with clients to monitor their progress, discussing appointments, stability, and potential discharge plans when appropriate.

• Creating, implementing, and reviewing individualized treatment plans that center around the client's unique needs and goals.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and progress notes for each client, in line with organizational policies.

• Administering intake assessments to new clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their mental health history and current concerns.

• Providing individual therapy sessions tailored to each client’s specific needs, utilizing effective therapeutic methods and interventions.

• Participating in regular individual supervision to enhance clinical skills and ensure the quality of care provided.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.

• Ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements across relevant clinical sectors.

• A minimum of one year of direct experience working with psychiatric patients or substance abuse populations.

• Proven experience in assessment, diagnosis, and providing both individual and group therapy.

• Demonstrated proficiency in computer usage, including basic keyboard skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be strongly regarded:

Compensation and Benefits\n
