This position allows for flexible working conditions as it is predominantly remote, conducted in the comfort of each client’s home or at our outpatient office. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with clients in their homes or at the outpatient facility, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.

• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions that address anger management, coping strategies, social skills, and reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors and physical aggression.
\n
• Support youth and their caregivers in enhancing decision-making skills to effectively manage in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate continually with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to deliver comprehensive support for children and families.
\n
• Complete and submit all required documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within specified deadlines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and provide recommendations based on clinical observations.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is on children aged 3 to 20 who are facing developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will be working with a diverse range of families, assisting them with unique challenges while providing culturally sensitive therapy. The ideal candidate should be able to communicate effectively in both English and either Spanish or Portuguese, making a significant impact on a broader clientele.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is essential.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is required.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during afternoon hours, specifically from 4 pm to 7 pm, with weekend availability considered a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are mandatory.
\n
• Candidates must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.

• Experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a significant advantage.

• Candidates who have previously worked in family therapy or community mental health settings will find this role particularly suited to their skill sets.

Compensation and Benefits\n
