Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, identifying co-occurring disorders through standardized methods and clinical interviews.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to equip clients with essential coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and tools for emotional regulation.

• Monitor substance use and provide motivational interviewing to encourage progress and commitment to recovery.

• Educate clients and their family members about the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Document treatment interventions and client progress accurately and promptly, maintaining compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training opportunities to enhance treatment approaches for co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults who are managing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. These clients often require sensitive, empathetic approaches and interventions that focus on both recovery from substance misuse and improvement in mental health. Your expertise will enable clients to face their challenges and make meaningful strides toward sustainable recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of the interaction between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based protocols related to addiction and mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience.
