Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide comprehensive counseling and crisis intervention services to hospice patients, specifically addressing their unique emotional and behavioral needs.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to monitor and report on patient progress, identifying concerns and potential issues as they arise.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including detailed progress notes and treatment plans, in accordance with organizational and departmental policies.

• Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment and discharge plans based on thorough psychosocial assessments and recognized social work methodologies.

• Establish and nurture relationships with leaders in community resource groups, representing Inner Peace Counseling Center at relevant meetings and committees that focus on addressing the social needs of our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with patients in hospice care, often facing terminal illnesses and a range of emotional challenges associated with end-of-life issues. Your expertise will play a critical role in providing comfort, enhancing the quality of life, and supporting families as they navigate this challenging time. You will engage with clients and their loved ones, offering empathetic support and insights that facilitate understanding and acceptance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is a critical requirement.

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in mental health counseling, preferably in settings addressing hospice or end-of-life care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Inner Peace Counseling Center offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
