Account Executive - Employee Benefits

We also invest deeply in our people, giving you the chance to learn, grow, and make an impact. Account Executive – Employee Benefits Hybrid work schedule. Provides full‑service account management to clients in the Employee Benefit Department. Independently manages accounts for health and welfare plans (medical, dental, short‑ and long‑term disability, vision, life/AD&D, travel accident, voluntary benefits and long‑term care). Typical groups range from 75 to 200 lives. Core Responsibilities Day‑to‑day client contact and relationship development Resolve claims and administrative issues Act as liaison with insurance carriers and advocate for clients Design benefit plans in conjunction with client needs and financial resources Process renewals, including competitive bidding and cost‑effective plan design alternatives with employee contribution scenarios Prepare spreadsheets and renewal presentations as appropriate Prepare summary plan descriptions and other employee communication materials Provide periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, or annual) to assess plan performance and support renewal planning Coordinate delivery of Schedule A information for 5500 preparation, as appropriate Maintain and manage client information through HUB’s Agency Management System and data standards Additional Responsibilities Coordinate health fairs and wellness initiatives when requested by client Prepare claim utilization analysis on self‑funded and large fully insured clients, as appropriate Secure stop‑loss coverage for self‑insured clients, as appropriate Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required College degree or equivalent work experience Minimum of 5 years experience in brokerage, consulting, insurance company, or corporate benefits environment Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Highly detail‑oriented Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline‑driven environment Proficiency with MS Office Suite Valid Life & Health License Ability to travel as needed Salary & Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $43.96/hr to $49.45/hr, dependent on skills, experience, location, and business line. HUB International offers comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k) accounts, paid‑time‑off (vacation, sick, personal days), and eligible bonuses, equity, and commissions for some positions.
