Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Accurately evaluate clients presenting with mood disorders by gathering detailed information about their symptoms, mental health history, and psychosocial factors through interviews and standardized assessments.

• Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to their specific needs. Regularly review and adjust plans as necessary based on client progress and feedback.

• Provide Evidence-Based Psychotherapy: Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to effectively address mood disorders.

• Collaboration with Psychiatrist: Work closely with the supervising psychiatrist to monitor medication management for clients when necessary, delivering insights regarding medication effectiveness and patient adherence.

• Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to clients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, providing immediate support and stabilization strategies.

• Maintain Detailed Clinical Documentation: Keep accurate records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations, ensuring that all documentation reflects the care provided.

• Team Collaboration: Engage with fellow mental health professionals in regular team meetings, sharing insights, discussing client progress, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves adults aged 18 and up who are struggling with a variety of mood disorders. The focus will be not only on treating symptoms but also on empowering clients with coping strategies and resiliency skills.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience dealing specifically with mood disorders is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive at USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, complemented by performance-based bonuses based on individual contributions and organizational goals.
